The first time I met Brian Reid was when he visited me at work in Baldwin park. I gave him some killifish and he bought me lunch at "Shrimp Ahoy!"

Brian wrote about this on usenet and referred to Baldwin Park as "the land that time forgot" which is retrospect is very apt. Barren doesn't begin to describe it. The landscape is pretty bleak, too.
